Established in 1991 and located East of Trenton near the New Jersey coastline, High Technology High School is a pre-engineering academy that emphasizes the interconnections among mathematics, science, technology, and the humanities. It is part of the Monmouth County Vocational School District (MCVSD) which includes five different academies, each specializing in different career and technical programs.

The success of the school lays in its integrated community and business partnerships. The school’s faculty and administration are assisted by an Advisory Board comprised of business, industry, and educational leaders from the local area. Its educational philosophy strives to encourage students “to be prudent risk-takers and creative problem solvers in a global society.”

High Technology High School’s Class of 2015 boasted some very impressive accomplishments, including 8 National AP Scholars (in a class of 68 graduates), 7 students with perfect SAT scores, and 29 National Merit Program Commended Students. Additionally, 100% of the Class of 2015 matriculated at a four year college.

Other notable recognition for High Technology High School include placing #2 on Business Insider’s Top 50 Smartest High Schools in the Nation as well as U.S. News and World Report’s #1 High School in New Jersey and #11 Public High School in the Nation.
